Table Tennis stands

  1. Stand about the distance of your paddle and arm away from the table.

  2. Step 2

    Bend your knees and stay on the balls of your feet.

  3. Step 3

    Lean forward and hold your paddle up and ready.

  4. Step 4

    Use your empty hand out for balance and counterweight.

  5. Step 5

    Watch the ball at all times and try to keep from getting rooted in one position.

  6. Step 6

    Get back to your central position and ready stance quickly if a shot takes you out of position.

  7. Step 7

    Keep your head up.

  8. Step 8

    Stay light on your feet.It is difficult at beginning but keep practicing. It helps developing your game in manner it should be

 

Holding bat

In TT there are two  Internationally followed ways namely shake-hand and pen-hold grips. I suggest to opt shake-hand grip as it has greater flexibility while playing  majority of shorts

In India one of the good TT bat manufacturers is GKI. For beginners there are two bats in Kung-fu series namely Kung-fu and Kung-fu deluxe. though both has same rubbers prefer deluxe as it has a handle with good grip.
